Live and Learn

I have a little sister who is in seventh grade. I love that little booger with all my life and always want the best for her. She is a confident, go-getter (which is the opposite of me), and I strive to be like her.

Now that she is in junior high, she's been having to learn an important lesson that many adults struggle with: learning from your mistakes. I've had to reassure her that mistakes are OKAY and that without them we wouldn't actually learn new things.

And I kind of laugh because it was almost as if I was reassuring myself about my own mistakes I've made as an emerging business. I've had to learn the hard way, that I should be the one editing my pictures, not another company. I've had to learn to research different options for websites and products before sticking with the nearest offer.

This has been a challenging time, but I know for a fact that this is where I'm supposed to be. It may not be the most traditional choice of a soon-to-be college graduate, but tradition sometimes needs to be broken.
